VIJAY IYER (Piano) has released three critically acclaimed compact discs of original music, Memorophilia ( 1995 ) and Architextures ( 1998 ) on Asian Improv Records and Panopticon Modes ( 2001 ) on Red Giant. He has traveled worldwide as a leader, appearing at international festivals with his quartet. He has also collaborated extensively with saxophonist Steve Coleman, appearing on numerous world tours and several of his albums on RCA Records. In addition he has joined forces with a wide assortment of cutting-edge creative artists, such as innovative musicians Cecil Taylor, Roscoe Mitchell, George Lewis, John Tchicai, ROVA Saxophone Quartet, Miya Masaoka and Gerry Hemingway; the ground- breaking hip-hop group Midnight Voices; and the legendary African-American poet Amiri Baraka. FRANÇOIS MOUTIN (Bass) is one of the most sought after young European jazz bass players. ELLIOT HUMBERTO KAVEE (Percussion) has performed/recorded ground-breaking new music with Francis Wong, Omar Sosa, Joseph Jarman, Steve Coleman, Don Cherry, Cecil Taylor, Ben Goldberg, John Tchicai, Glenn Horiuchi, Elliot Sharp, Tim Berne, Jon Jang, Vijay Iyer and his own projects. A prolific recording artist, Elliot has played on over 40 critically acclaimed recordings in the past four years. As a performer he has played the Monterey, Asian American, San Francisco, New York and North Sea jazz festivals.
