The Ahimsa Tour (http://www.ahimsafund.org), after extremely successful stops in San Francisco and Los Angeles, finds itself at its height of talent and energy in New York City on Thursday, March 14. The roster of talent highlights the best from South Asian influenced sounds:

Basement Bhangra founder and promoter DJ Rekha of Sangam Sounds and DJ/Producer/Musician Karsh Kale (live electric tabla set) will be headlining the show performing progressive South Asian sounds and bhangra tunes.

Los Angeles percussionist Ravi Jakotia, Qasim Naqvi, Indofunk, Shivalik ("Shevy") Ghoshal on tabla, and renowned bansari floutist Steve Gorn, and Egyptian DJ Mutamassik and Siraiki of Mutiny Sounds will be bringing together South Asian and Arabic sounds with live instrumentation.

Hip-Hop Troupe Dujeous? of New York and Karmacy of Los Angeles will also be performing a live hip-hop set.
